Females (again, of any species studied) don’t fight or flight. They tend and befriend. They take care of their tribe (and other tribes for that matter) and build belonging.
Life’s best kept secrets: we are all imposters, selflessness is overrated and know when to move on. who knew?
If we are honest with ourselves, finding fulfilment in life is a lifetime endeavour. If for nothing else, for the truth that we are different each day and our lives are different each day. I guess the lesson here is that we have to keep swimming. Thanks Dory!
The step-parent – a step up in the parenting realm
Being a step-parent, you get all the responsibility and very little of the title, you get to put in the work and most of the times not only not get the credit but have to sit on the sidelines and watch birth parents take the credit, even when they have absolutely nothing to do with the child’s achievements.
On pain
The pain was so great that at first I thought I was going to faint. But I didn’t. I held on and felt the breaking.
Row, Row, Row our boat, gently down the stream. Or at least don’t light a fire in it …
We are in the middle of a universal exercise of “how to get into the same boat and make sure you row successfully”. So far, there are still millions in the water and the ones in the boat are simply making it spin faster and faster.
