Big Friendship is a bond of great strength, force and significance that transcends life phases, geography, and emotional shifts. It is large in dimension, affecting most aspects of each person’s life. It is full of meaning and resonance.
It is very important that this practice not be tokenistic. It must involve genuine curiosity, active and reflective listening, asking open ended questions and a willingness to change on both parts of the table.
It is hard to find the middle ground between cocky and a doormat. The only thing I can think of to do next, is slow down, slow cooker style. I have to make every next step yogalike, putting each toe down on its own, completely present and feeling all of the feels.
